We collect only the information needed to respond to enquiries and operate the website:

• Identity and contact details you provide voluntarily: full name, company name, country, email address and telephone number.
• Enquiry content: the subject, selected service and message text you submit.
• Technical data collected automatically: IP-derived country, browser type, device type, referring page and pages viewed.

We do not intentionally collect special-category data, payment card details or government identification documents through this website. Please do not submit such information through the contact form.

When you submit the "Send Us a Message" or quote request form, the fields you complete are stored in our secure enquiry database and emailed to info@lamerza.com so our team can reply. A confirmation email is sent to the address you provide.

The legal basis for this processing is your consent and our legitimate interest in responding to a commercial enquiry you initiated. Providing the form data is voluntary, but without a name, email address and message we cannot respond.

The website uses a small number of cookies and equivalent browser storage entries. These fall into two categories:

• Strictly necessary / preference — for example the language preference cookie that remembers the language you selected so pages load in that language on your next visit.
• Analytics — cookies set by Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate site usage.

You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies does not affect your ability to browse the site or submit an enquiry; blocking preference cookies means the site will default to English on each visit.

Analytics data is aggregated and is not used to identify individual visitors.

We also maintain our own lightweight visitor counter that records the country associated with a visit in order to display aggregate "visitors by country" statistics. No names, email addresses or full IP addresses are published.

• To communicate with you about an ongoing enquiry or shipment.
• To maintain internal records and meet accounting, customs and other legal obligations.
• To measure and improve website performance, content and usability.
• To protect the website against spam, fraud and abuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use enquiry data for unsolicited marketing or newsletters.

Where we process personal information relating to individuals in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we act as a data controller and process that information in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR, alongside applicable UAE data protection law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021).

• Legitimate interests — responding to commercial enquiries, securing the website and measuring aggregate usage, balanced against your rights.
• Contract — steps taken at your request before entering into, or in performance of, a transport or logistics contract.

We apply data minimisation, purpose limitation and storage limitation: we request only the fields needed to reply to you, use them only for the purpose stated at collection, and delete or anonymise them once that purpose and any legal retention period has ended. Lamerza Shipping Services LLC is established in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Information you submit through this website is processed in the UAE and by service providers that may store or process data in the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States and other jurisdictions. Because shipping is a cross-border activity, information relating to a consignment may also be shared with carriers, agents, port authorities and customs authorities in the countries of origin, transit and destination.

Where personal information is transferred out of the EEA or the UK, we rely on an applicable transfer mechanism — an adequacy decision, the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum) in our provider agreements, or your explicit consent — together with appropriate technical and organisational safeguards such as encryption in transit and at rest and access controls. The website is served exclusively over HTTPS/TLS. Enquiry data is stored in a managed cloud database with encryption at rest, row-level access controls and restricted administrative access. Access to enquiry records and the info@lamerza.com mailbox is limited to authorised Lamerza personnel who need it to perform their role.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted over the internet. If we become aware of a personal data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights, we will notify the competent supervisory authority and, where required, affected individuals without undue delay.

Contact form submissions and related correspondence are retained for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and the resulting business relationship, and thereafter for the period required by applicable UAE commercial, tax and customs record-keeping rules. Analytics data is retained according to the retention period configured in Google Analytics. When information is no longer required, it is deleted or anonymised.

We rely on a limited number of service providers to operate the website:

• Hosting and application platform — serving the website and running its backend functions.
• Managed cloud database — storing enquiry submissions and aggregate visit counts.
• Transactional email delivery — sending enquiry notifications to info@lamerza.com and confirmation emails to you.
• Google Analytics 4 — website usage measurement.
• Google Maps — the embedded office location map.
• WhatsApp (Meta) — if you choose to start a chat via the WhatsApp button.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and privacy notices. Some are located outside the United Arab Emirates, so your information may be transferred and processed internationally.

Subject to applicable law, including the GDPR and UK GDPR where they apply to you, you have the right to:

We aim to respond within 30 days and may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Exercising your rights is free of charge unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised version will be published on this page with an updated "last updated" date.
